2008 Announcement and Call for ICAM Postdoctoral and Senior Fellowship Applications
Academic Year 2008-2009
The Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM) invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships (Track I: Applicant-Driven Fellowships; Track II: Mentor-Driven Fellowships) and senior fellow appointments tenable at ICAM branch member institutions for the academic year 2008-2009. The deadline for these applications is December 15, 2007.
An open call for applications for ICAM junior scientist exchange awards, I2CAM junior scientist exchange awards and travel awards is extended to all member institutions. These junior scientist and travel awards will be made on an ongoing basis, that is, considering them as they are received, without a specific deadline. The various awards are intended to catalyze research and research collaborations on complex adaptive matter, by supplementing existing postdoctoral appointments or sabbatical leave support, and by providing travel expenses for inter-institutional research collaborations.
As many as 4 postdoctoral fellows, 2 senior fellows, 18 ICAM junior scientist exchange awards, 20 I2CAM junior scientist exchange awards, and 60 I2CAM junior scientist travel awards will be made in the fields of correlated matter or biological physics. Detailed information on the various awards and guidelines for the application process can be found at http://icam-i2cam.org/awards.php, and all applications are to be made online. We welcome applications from women and minorities. ICAM is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer.
