Annual Meeting Will Be Held in Davis, California

The next annual meeting of ICAM-I2CAM will be held January 10-13, 2010 on the campus of the University of California – Davis. It will mark the eleventh anniversary of the founding of ICAM.

A tentative program, as of this writing, includes the following:

Talks on Complex Adaptive Matter Frontiers:

  • Ali Yazdani, Princeton U, Frontiers in Quantum Matter
  • Nate Lewis, Cal Tech, Frontiers in Fundamental Research on Materials for Energy
  • Frontiers in Biological Matter, speaker TBA

Talks on alternative energy from local experts at UC Davis:

  • Alex Navrotsky, Frontiers in Energy Storage Materials
  • Giulia Galli, Frontiers in Photovoltaics
  • Nick Curro, Frontiers in Superconducting Materials for Electrical Transmission and Storage

Talks on science engagement
An ICAM Town Hall meeting

A number of ICAM Postdoctoral and senior fellows will also speak, as well as ICAM exchange awardees.

The main ICAM committees will meet in annual face-to-face format (Board of Governors, Science Steering Committee, Fellowship Committee)
