ICAMNews Undergoes Editorial Transition

Tue, April 12, 2011

ICAMNews has undergone a change in editorial staffing.  Karie Friedman, the Founding ICAMNews Editor, is moving on to pursue other interests.  ICAM thanks Karie for setting the style and tone of ICAMNews and for her many years of outstanding work in the position.  We wish her every success in her future endeavors.

Elizabeth Skwiot, a PhD student in Comparative Literature at the University of California-Davis, will serve as the ICAMNews editor through June of 2012.  As the newsletter goes through this transitional phase, new material will be posted as it becomes available.  We intend to publish a more ‘formal’ newsletter by mid-June 2011 when we hope to be caught up on information of interest to our readers.

In addition, ICAMNews will undergo some stylistic changes.  Future editions will include feature articles that will offer more in-depth information, photos, and associated content. ICAM members across the globe are engaging in breakthrough research, are completing award-winning projects, and are participating in organizations that transform the scientific and global community.  We look forward to sharing information on much of this fascinating and important work in the coming months.
