The Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter invites applications for ICAM and I2CAM junior scientist exchange awards and travel awards for research between ICAM branch member institutions. The awards are intended to catalyze research and research collaborations on complex adaptive matter (namely soft matter, quantum matter, biological matter, and emergent materials for energy) by providing travel expenses for inter-institutional research collaborations. Successful applicants are expected to carry out a research program at ICAM institutions and to participate actively in educational outreach.
ICAM expects to fund up to 20 international junior scientist exchange awards, 5-10 domestic travel awards, and 45 international junior scientist travel awards each year. ICAM welcomes applications from underrepresented groups in science and engineering in the U.S. identified as Native Americans, African Americans, Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, and Hispanics.
Applications are accepted throughout the year. You should allow at least 2 months lead time for review and processing. More time is needed to obtain a Visa.
