About Ames Lab

At Iowa State University, complex materials research and the investigation of emergent behavior in matter in the areas of condensed matter physics, materials chemistry and bio-molecular materials and in materials and engineering physics are concentrated in and around the Department of Energy Ames Laboratory. The traditional strength of the Ames lab is highly collaborative research in the area of development, characterization and use of new materials. For more information see http://www.ameslab.gov.
