The Parma branch joined ICAM in 2011 and was created by a joint effort of the scientific departments of Parma University and of the Institute for Materials for Electronics and Magnetism
(IMEM-CNR).
Research at PR-branch is mainly devoted to experimental and theoretical studies of several classes of complex adaptive materials and processes, including:
strongly correlated electron systems
molecular functional materials (supramolecular materials and sensing, surface self-assembly, materials and prototype devices for bio-electronics….. )
nanostructured materials
molecular biophysics
bio-inspired materials for nanomedicine
transcriptomic and proteomic networks
