The Department of Chemistry at the University of St. Thomas (MN) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-line teaching position at the rank of Clinical Faculty starting July, 2016. A Ph.D. in chemistry is preferred, but ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will teach 6-7 courses per year primarily in the area of general chemistry, with additional responsibilities coordinating the general chemistry program. These responsibilities include working with other faculty on design and implementation of new laboratory exercises, publishing the lab manual, organizing and leading meetings of all faculty and instructors teaching in the general chemistry program, and performing curricular assessment. It is essential that the candidate has a strong commitment to teaching and strong organizational and interpersonal skills to lead the general chemistry laboratory team. Preference will be given to candidates who will be able to contribute in one or more of the following ways: provide help with maintenance of department instrumentation, teach biochemistry lab sections, and/or develop an on-line learning course.

Job Requirements:

Ph.D. or ABD in chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field. It is essential that the candidate has a strong commitment to teaching and strong organizational and interpersonal skills to lead the general chemistry laboratory team.
