Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Optics and Photonics

Applications are solicited for a postdoctoral position in experimental nonlinear optics and photonics in the research group of Prof. Zhigang Chen at San Francisco State Univ. The emphasis is on studying the linear and nonlinear fundamental phenomena in graphene-like photonic structures, including topological effects and synthetic gauge/magnetic fields for photons. Possibilities for conducting experimental and theoretical work on other areas such as soft-matter, beam engineering, or biophotonics also exist. PhD in physics, optics, or related area is required, and basic optical experimental skill/experience is desirable. It is expected that the candidate has a good record of publications. Send a CV, a brief statement of research interests, and the names of two references to Professor Zhigang Chen to the email address below. The position is available immediately, and applications will be considered until this position is filled.
