A team of faculty members in the Depts. of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame is seeking applicants for the position of post-doctoral researcher. The objective of the project is to design, fabricate, and test automated on-Chip systems for 3D, multiplexed imaging of living and fixed tissues and organisms. Future applications for the research will include both tissue engineering, systems biology and cancer.
Duration: An initial 12 month appointment with possible subsequent extensions.
Qualifications: PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering. Applicant should have a background in mechatronic system design, robotics, microfluidics, or fluorescence
microscopy. Applicants should be assertive, self-driven researchers who have a strong publication record from their PhD and/or previous post-doctoral positions.
Compensation: Negotiable based on qualifications.
This appointment is also contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. Applicants will be asked to identify all felony convictions and/or pending felony charges. Felony convictions do not automatically bar an individual from employment. Each case will be examined separately to determine the appropriateness of employment in the particular position.
