Overview
SCES 2010 will cover traditional subjects of strongly correlated f- and d-electron systems, heavy fermion behaviors, and other strongly correlated electronic materials and phenomena. New types of superconductivity and emergent states that arise from electronic correlations also will be discussed. The conference aims to deepen our understanding of the rich physical phenomena, such as quantum phase transitions, non-Fermi liquid phenomena, quantum magnetism, unconventional superconductivity, and metal-insulator transitions, that that make this field so challenging and vibrant. Both experimental and theoretical work will be highlighted. The objective of the conference is not only to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of new results but also to introduce these subjects to young researchers.
